This might well be the finest example of the genre since My Bloody Valentine perforated their first eardrum. [Summer 2014, p.91]

Individually, tracks like ‘Hymn To The Pillory’ and ‘Somersault’ aren’t particularly staggering, but as a whole body of work it really is something else.

The 40 minutes of Guilty are a storm of shoegaze, noise-rock, and slow-core, surging together into something lovely and lethal.

Forget about shoegaze or metal or noise rock or any other genre; this is stark, dramatic music that comes from pain and has been crafted into high art that will move and inspire listeners lucky enough to hear it.

It's not that they're reinventing the wheel but as Guilty of Everything shows, they make beautiful art out of introspective melodies, gutwrenching shoegaze and explosive crescendos.

Nothing's Guilty of Everything is easily up there with the greats like Slowdive, Lush, Ride, My Bloody Valentine and other bands of their genre. The album flows seamlessly from song to song with loud striking drums and even louder fuzzed out guitars and of course the low, almost dream like vocals, typical of the genre but with a real spin on the typical sound. Nothing manages to define themselves and their signature sound among a genre that is bursting with sound-alike bands. Expand
