Habitual Levitations is not only a very solid album, but it also stands as one of the best sludge metal records of recent years. IntronautHabitual Levitations is not only a very solid album, but it also stands as one of the best sludge metal records of recent years. Intronaut creates a very smooth, cohesive and an easy listening album that fans of the genre and music fans in general can listen to and appreciate. All parts work together very well and often the album sounds like one large masterpiece because the songs flow so well. The drums are never intrusive and they add depth and atmosphere to the album. The guitars are heavy, sludgy and they are layered in a way that shows depth without confusing or overwhelming its listeners. The bass is also a very impressive part of the record allowing for the drums to be perfectly enhanced. Overall, Habitual Levitations made me fall in love with sludge metal all over again. A very solid album that's definitely worth the listen. Full Review »
