  1. So while the disc may not his best album, it is still one that makes you think and challenges you.
  2. Jul 10, 2012
Harakiri easily contains the best music released under the vocalist's name. [Aug 2012, p.92]
  3. Aug 7, 2012
Though occasionally difficult to digest, 'Harakiri' is nevertheless a worthwhile and intriguing listen.
  4. Jul 25, 2012
In summary, it's a good album and a perfect indication of the progress Tankian has made and will continue to make as a musician.
  5. Jul 10, 2012
There's never a ponderous or self-righteous feel to Tankian's tunes.
  6. Aug 20, 2012
As ever, his lyrics are oblique yet thought-provoking, if sometimes unwieldy. [Sep 2012, p.112]
  7. 60
Throughout the album, it seems that Tankian is preparing the listener for something bigger, something serious.
  8. Jul 10, 2012
All in all, this makes for an album that, despite containing plenty of drama and angst, feels self-restrained by itself, making the whole thing seem conflicted instead of confrontational.
  9. Jul 17, 2012
The most confusing, drab, inexplicable pop-punk album I've heard in years.

A stunning album from a real genius. Beautifully crafted and masterfully written. This is probably the best rock album of the year so far. The album is truly inspiring. The only problem is that I wish there was more. Full Review »

This is the best Serj Tankian's work. Very strong music and well written lyrics. Some songs remind aggression of Serj from SOAD's albums. This aggression was missing in previous albums. Full Review »
