  • Summary: This long-delayed fourth album sees the New York garage rockers jumping to a new label.
Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 2 out of 10
  2. Negative: 2 out of 10
  1. Mercy's rootsy, rueful tunes have a pleasant, low-key feel. [22 Jun 2007, p.69]
  2. On the whole, the songs are more tuneful and airy and less spastic than previous riot-on-the-stage efforts. [Mar 2007, p.143]
  3. They still sound generic – a bar band in search of songs.
  4. Their attempts at songwriting here are woeful. [Sep 2007, p.95]

a good album. not their best, but certainly solid. some great tracks and some iffy tracks. they're maturing and going away from their old sound and I like it. Expand
