  • Summary: This is the latest children's album for the band and as suggested by the title, it focuses on science.
Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 4 out of 8
  2. Negative: 0 out of 8
  1. The music on Here Comes Science is by and large a little less off-the-wall and casually profound than those on Here Come The 123s, but there’s still something cheering about hearing kid-friendly songs that promote evolution, or one that notes how much of living matter can be reduced to a few common elements.
  2. It’s also something worth hearing for lapsed fans who haven’t been keeping up with TMBG in recent years or for anyone who loves well-written power-pop with a side of nerdiness.
  3. Here Comes Science is another fun, educational triumph.
  4. Think of Here Comes Science as the gateway drug for a new batch of TMBG fans. It's kind of amazing nobody thought of it sooner

The results are entertaining and witty, as well as educational, even if at times the tunes have to perform contortions to squeeze all the lyrics in. [Jul 2010, p.141]
  6. Uncut

TMBG's nagging pop tunes are useful mnemonics, albeit irritating ones. But there is no reason why anybody over the age of eight should listen to this. [Jun 2010, p.100]
  7. Mojo

Noble concept, but possibly the dumbest clever-clogs album ever made. [Jun 2010, p.98]

My son who is 8 months old is completely fascinated and laughs through out the entire album. He reacts this way to no other videos he has so far seen on TV. Let him watch a few videos before bed each night and he is completely delighted. Songs are catchy and we often find ourselves singing them through out the day. Expand
