The only way I can think to describe what this album feels like is if John Lee Hooker and Metallica got together to cover Rolling stones and Smashing Pumpkins songs. Bluesy, hard rock, big band horns, it's refreshing to hear what is essentially an old fashioned rock and roll album, but that does not do it justice. There's no weak link and at times it hits perfection. This album is equal to anything that's been released in the last 10 years.… Expand

The production is amazing and the added string section, horn section, and girl choir just amp up the psychedelic epicness. The lyrics/story are mesmerizing and stand alone on their own right. The music is like a sprawling blues rock musical. Like a modern version of Pink Floyd's "The Wall." AOTY 2014 so far.… Expand
