Rudimental are casting a wider musical net than their peers, which has the unintended effect of magnifying their flaws by comparison, making for a decent but ultimately second-tier effort in a crowded year for big-ticket dance-pop.
  2. Overall, Rudimental have shown themselves to be a talented band of men.

At its best, Home is a sumptuous, thrilling experience on a purely sonic level. There are absolutely zero boring moments here, and the details are often transcendent.

With its beautifully balances smorgasbord of UK garage, drum 'n 'bass, this is the album the person on the night bus in records by Burial would really be digging. [Jun 2013, p.89]

Home is a sometimes captivating, occasionally flawed, but always intriguing release.

Head for Home if you want to hear where drum'n'bass, dubstep, garage and old-school jungle meet in 2013, but really just pick it up if you're looking for more bangers than a barbecue at a firework factory.
  7. A skittering collage of vocal drum'n'bass, garage, and funky house that parties, in the best way, like it's July 1999.

Just when you think it's done, it finds another gear through the ingenious addition of a subtle offbeat that kicks the groove up a notch--the kind of sly, brilliant touch that suggests Rudimental are worthy heirs to the likes of Soul II Soul and Basement Jaxx.

Home walks the fine line between commercial viability and musical integrity with confidence and flair.

Overall, the hybrids hold together: as their No. 1 single ‘Feel The Love’ has shown, this may well be an experiment with the mainstream that pays off big time.

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. This album is just so so good. A mix of drum and bass along with the odd bit of dance and pop. By far, my favorite track on the album is "Powerless" with Becky Hill, who was a semi finalist on the first series of The Voice UK. Its so so good, and very powerful.
My mum, who hates drum and bass actually loves this album & has it on repeat in the car. This is just amazing! Go & buy it!
