I hate this band. They are too clever, too powerful, too connected, too sexy, just too goddamn perfect. It feels exactly like just before the revolution in 1917 with Falkous as Lenin... and we all know how that ended. Anyway, this is the album that Trotsky would have released if he was some rock demon god replete with icepick in head. Brilliant and bloody.

Easily the best album in Falko's career; even better than "do dallas." This is the sound of a man and band with a clear sense of identity and purpose, and the quality of the recording is impeccable.

A great album and a return to form for the band after what I found to be an underwhelming last album in plot against the senses. An album where it is truly worth listening to the lyrics as well as the pretty music as there are some gems being sung over them there tunes.

Biting, poetic and awkward, this is music with brains to match its brawn. [19 Oct 2013, p.54]

It's nasty and explosive and full of bile, a hard rockin' bare-knuckle blow to the temple that'll lay you flat out. In other words, How to Stop Your Brain in an Accident is just the thing for the modern man, those confused and angrily impotent brutes.

How To Stop Your Brain In An Accident is right up there with the giddy heights of Travels With Myself And Another and proves how downright essential FotL are.
