Hypnotic Nights still delivers all of the brilliant power pop worship that we've all come to love from JEFF the Brotherhood, and if the album isn't able to kick off your summer, nothing will.

This record is crawling with too many hooks and good-time jams to quibble over guitar tone.

The production may be a little cleaner, but the same knack for great fuzzed-out ditties is still there... a pretty good album.

Brothers Jake and Jamin Orrall plough a familiar semi-feral blues-punk furrow for the most part, with varying degrees of success, but are best when they depart from the template. [Dec 2012, p.72]
