Aug 11, 2010Crime In Stereo's best album, and that's saying a whole hell of a lot. Continue's the experimental spirit of "...Is Dead", and explores it to the highest imaginable satisfying ends.

May 5, 2013This is an album that transcends genres and tastes to deliver what can be heard as an epic of human struggle. The angst and the conflict are present and developed. Offering any critique to this album proves nearly impossible. The pinnacle of an alternative punk album. More to be found in each listen and a work of art that all musicians should strive for in every piece.

AnnN.Mar 19, 2010Definitely one of the most impressive and unexpected rock albums of the last year or two, and pretty unlike anything out there...hence I guess the title of the record. "Drugwolf" and "I Cannot Answer You Tonight" are standouts, but there isn't a throwaway track on the entire thing.

RCMar 28, 2010Solid album. I wasn't even into this genre but this album has me interested. Not a bad track on the playlist.

The band has sprinted forward and earned an Olympic title of the "P" word. I Was Trying to Describe You To Someone is going to turn heads and only gain more respect and fans in the process.
-
Alternative PressCIS convey aggression and energy through a maddening array of effects pedals and the haunting, grainy tenor of Kristain Hallbert's reverberating voice, combining to form corrosive anthems embellished by space and nuance. [Mar 2010, p.92]

Where 07’s ‘Is Dead’ hinted at the band experimenting with a more progressive sound, it was nowhere near as cohesive and accomplished as this. I Was Trying To Describe You To Someone is a phenomenal album.
