AnnN.Mar 19, 20109Definitely one of the most impressive and unexpected rock albums of the last year or two, and pretty unlike anything out there...hence I guess the title of the record. "Drugwolf" and "I Cannot Answer You Tonight" are standouts, but there isn't a throwaway track on the entire thing.

Aug 11, 201010Crime In Stereo's best album, and that's saying a whole hell of a lot. Continue's the experimental spirit of "...Is Dead", and explores it to the highest imaginable satisfying ends.

The band has sprinted forward and earned an Olympic title of the "P" word. I Was Trying to Describe You To Someone is going to turn heads and only gain more respect and fans in the process.

CIS convey aggression and energy through a maddening array of effects pedals and the haunting, grainy tenor of Kristain Hallbert's reverberating voice, combining to form corrosive anthems embellished by space and nuance. [Mar 2010, p.92]

90Where 07's 'Is Dead' hinted at the band experimenting with a more progressive sound, it was nowhere near as cohesive and accomplished as this. I Was Trying To Describe You To Someone is a phenomenal album.
