  • Summary: This is the third album for the Seattle-based singer-songwriter. Ed Harcourt guests on one track.
Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 3 out of 9
  2. Negative: 1 out of 9
  1. Songs is heavy on romantic longing, but the music is so coy and smart that it rarely feels mushy.
  2. Lament after lament, they start to all blend together, and all of Thomas's considerable skill as a singer, musician, and composer can't seem to create any really arresting moments, just a lot of pretty songs.
  3. Rosie Thomas is just a little too ordinary.
