Burroughs lyrics over classic glitch ("Eating Hooks").

    Though it's Moderat's strongest record, III isn't quite all killer. The very Field-like "Finder" bounces its vocal loop into the pocket, but it doesn't show off the songcraft found on songs like "Reminder," which might have sprung from a solo album by Thom Yorke.

    III has a highly melodic crossover feel that is somewhat different to many of the players’ other, grittier projects, although the beats remain a little itchy. Songs about crowd mentality and medieval jesters are novel in theme but overthought and bombastically dramatic in their lyrical phrasing.

    Considering my present taste in music, i think this is Moderat's best work so far. They created some really nice club music from start to finish, that will make you stand up and dance. It has some weak spots, when some songs become more sleepy than enjoyable. But songs like "Reminder" and "The Fool" which have those really nice synths and rythms that will cast a spell on you. All in all, there is not much to say about the overall production. When it comes to enjoyment though, i think everyone will see this album differently. For me, i enjoyed it :)… Expand
