  1. Under The Radar
    The production is impeccable. [#9]
  2. This is Weird War at their most minimal and stoned.
  3. Uncut
It's plenty funky, just less in-your-face and with a disco polish. [May 2005, p.103]
  4. If there's one thing that unites 'Illuminated By The Light' it's how sweaty a vibe it gives off.
  5. Alternative Press
If they don't make you get down, they'll certainly get your attention. [May 2005, p.124]
  6. Mojo
An album of abundant, aberrant fun. [May 2005, p.102]
  7. Warped glam-funk-disco in the spirit of Frank Zappa.
  8. It is both accessible and challenging at times, and a few bloopers aside a perfectly worthy release, providing the purchaser can tolerate Ian Svenonius' occasional lapses into horrendously irritating vocal histrionics.
  9. New Musical Express (NME)
'Light' is let down by anaemic sound. [16 Apr 2005, p.51]
  10. The album gets really repetitive and just drones into the background.

seems a bit dull at first but after a couple plays you realize how awesome this record is.
