If such an otherwise emphatic and melodic record is the result of such constant squabbling, then Blood Red Shoes should perhaps start planning their arguments in advance for album number four.

Carter and Ansell aren't reinventing the wheel, but they've got a way nicer ride than most of the pretenders currently being exalted by friendless bloggers. [Aug 2012, p.84]

While Blood Red Shoes displayed a more erratic style back in 2010 on second album Fire Like This, this third feels formulaic – highly thought-out and polished.

In Time to Voices is aggressive, it is irreverent, yet also very ambitious.

In Time To Voices is an extremely impressive and clever modern rock record.

It may be a skip away from the processes they know best but, in 'In Time To Voices', Blood Red Shoes find fresh invention.

Sometimes - as for example in the single "Cold" or "Two Dead Minutes" has been implicated motifs of electronics and lots of synthesizers. "Je Me Perds" - very good punk proposal, which precedes indie rock song - "Stop Kicking". Solid proposal. Full Review »

The album is driven by power chord sequences which provide the foundations for some songs that are structured in an epic way. Blood Red Shoes keep things simple, but what they do they do well. They female/male vocal dynamic lifts the band's sound and at times will remind you of "The Kills" or a more substantial sounding White Stripes. "In Time To Voices" is a record that rocks hard but at the same time is easy to enjoy. Worth checking out. Full Review »
