I have listened to the album many times now and you find something new every time. The lyrics are fantastic and the melodies just grows. The instrumentations are the best ever of his albums. It shows he has paid much effort in these songs.

This beautiful album! When Robbe Sing, any song becomes unique.

I'm not sure about this album. Although I think Rob's music is classy, I'd like to hear some more experimental stuff. High points are the bridge of 'Please don't die' and the song, 'My gay friend'. I'm sure this album would sound cool after you tax one, though. There is a wounderfully subtle production value.

he is never predictable...that Robbie...so is this album...a great one that will remind me summer of 2006 forever =)

This is without a doubt Robbie's best album since 1998's I've been expecting you. This is mainly due to the fact the every song is above average, unlike Escapology and Sing when ....... With the opening lines "here i stand victorious, the only man who made you come" proves that robbie has'nt lost his cockyness. This abum hase many highlights including Ghosts, Tripping, make me pure, Advertising space, Please don't die, Trouble with me, sin sin sin, place to crash. this is another robbie album that will definitly deliver many classic hit sinles.… Expand

Robbie Williams is an idiot and this album is TERRIBLE! Tripping is most probably the worst song recorded this decade. Older stuff is good. But this guy it totally stuck in the 80's.

Gets better the more you listen to it.

If you liked Robbie in the beginning, this could be the one to bring you back after the appalling Escapology. The tunes take a few spins to sink in, but they reveal themselves in deeper ways than past efforts. He may not be as cheeky, but he's more reflective and shows personal growth. This CD doesn't deserve a 10, but it definitely isn't below a 6 either.

'I seem to spend my life just waiting for the chorus, but the verse is never really good enough' - 'Singing for the Lonely (Sing When You're Winning). I agree with that. Songs like 'Sin Sin Sin' could've done better. And yet he always have songs on albums that really reveals the really pensive & insecure side of him like 'Please Don't Die', 'Advertising Space' (minus the random 2nd half of the chorus towards the end.), 'Love Calling Earth' & 'Better Man' (Sing When You're Winning), etc. He should seriously release these heavy & deep songs more often though.… Expand

This is no classic Robbie Williams Album, my honest rating would be 6.5, but i rounded up to be nice.. Honestly for everyonewho thinks this is below the mark, i've noticed that both Intensive care and Escapology need multiple listens for the songs to catch on, unlike robbie's early work... here's what i did i listened to the individual songs on repeat for ages and rather than get sick of them, they caught on... its a good effort, when i expect great.… Expand

Definetly a more mature album. Takes a few listens to get into, but the more you hear it the better it gets.

A change of style and pace. An homage to the eighties bands that Robbie, no doubt, listened to in his youth. Takes a couple of listens to really get into it, but well worth the time spent. A long way from the manufactured pop of his drug daze, he is obviously steering this ship himself. Dumping Guy Chambers has certainly paid off. May not grab every teenie bopper fan of old, but at this point who cares. Will gain legions of new ones.… Expand

The lyrics seem more brooding and deep than a lot of his previous stuff, and there is absolutely none of the quirky, cheeky sense of humor that robbie williams built his career on. Maybe not too surprising, given the subject matter. Gone, however, are the delightful phrasing and wide-ranging tunefullness that, for me, characterised his earlier works. This album feels strained, as though williams was being pushed to meet a deadline, and just threw in some studio time to get it done without really knowing what he was trying to do. The tunes are repetitive and lack dynamics, some of them are so bad that they just make me cringe It's almost as if Robbie woke up one morning and discovered that he had forgotten everything he ever knew about how to put a tune together. I loved just about everything else he's done, but this one's a shocker.… Expand

A more adult Robbie shines through in this brilliant album. It is mature, and equals past Robbie albums. Please Don't Die is my pesonal favourite. Robbie is growing up, and so is his music. It's a great album - if you don't like it on first listening to it, give it another few tries, and listen to the lyrics.

THis is the greatest album ever. I have never bought a Robbie Williams album before, and I will NEVER regret buying this one.. I love it. It's a real artistic album. Great songs!

Always liked his hits, never bought, recently rec'd "Intensive Care" from a wonderful friend of mine (Thanks, Steffen! XOXO) and LOVE it! Robbie can deliver!
