Keep Your Dreams is, for the most part, a breath of fresh air suggesting that two pairs of Aussie DJ hands are certainly better than one.

Being students of dance music's rich history is nothing new, but the Australian duo, Canyons, take wistfulness to a new level.

For all of its work with dance music, some of Canyons' strongest tracks rely more on sounding like a band rather than a production duo.
  4. 60
The fact that a few more structured, disco-leaning tracks fill out the album can't entirely redeem the aimlessness that pervades so much of the disc, leaving Keep Your Dreams in muddled territory.

Though wildly hit and miss, Keep Your Dream, is never more fun than when going completely over the top. [Feb 2012, p.110]

You're left with an album that would be great fun live but needs reining on record.

On most of Keep Your Dreams, Canyons are trying too hard to be everything all the time. It's obvious they have all the tools they'll need, but it'll be a little longer before they build something really worthwhile.
