    People who say this CD isn't as good as the Jaxx's previous work are absurd. This is the first good CD they've released in their catalog, previous Jaxx works were uninspired, uninteresting, insipid works of garbage. They've really spread their wings here, and surprised everyone with a CD both profound and groundbreaking. If this is the first Jaxx CD you haven't People who say this CD isn't as good as the Jaxx's previous work are absurd. This is the first good CD they've released in their catalog, previous Jaxx works were uninspired, uninteresting, insipid works of garbage. They've really spread their wings here, and surprised everyone with a CD both profound and groundbreaking.     anything by basement jaxx is going to be 'good', of course, but unfortunately that's all this album turns out to be is 'good', not 'fantastic' or 'incredible' like their second or third offerings.

It's been over two years since Simon Ratcliffe & Felix Buxton brought the world their Rooty and longer since their Remedy but the Jaxx are back... and better than ever! Basement Jaxx (through Astralwerks) unleash their latest, Kish Kash, this month and it is 51 minutes of genre-bustin', Okay, not to be too much of a blurbmeister, but this is truly "one of the year's best!" It's been over two years since Simon Ratcliffe & Felix Buxton brought the world their Rooty and longer since their Remedy but the Jaxx are back... and better than ever! Basement Jaxx (through Astralwerks) unleash their latest, Kish Kash, this month and it is 51 minutes of genre-bustin', booty-shakin', finger-lickin' goodness. No fat, no filler. Just track after track of pure joy. Mercury Prize winner Dizzee Rascal proves why he won on Lucky Star, 'N Sync-er JC Chasez proves he's not totally worthless on Plug It in, Siouxsie Sioux makes her unmistakable mark on Cish Cash, The BellRays' Lisa Kekaula kicks ass and takes names on Good Luck ("Good luck, good luck, good luck in your new bed...") and MeShell Ndege'Ocello proves that when's she's on a track, it's all earz on her. And she does it twice on this CD. (Again proving, as she did on Scritti Politti's Anomie & Bonhomie, that the music buying public doesn't know what it is missing by basically ignoring this true original.) The slow jam Feels Like Home is slinky and sensual and the perfect album closer. Kish Kash is a mish mash of punk, funk, electro and soul that only a (very square) mother wouldn't love. Although there is no real house stomper on the order of Rendez-vu, Red Alert or Where's Your Head At, it seems petty to quibble when everything else here is so fresh, exhilirating and, hell, fun... all the different ingredients mix perfectly to make one tasty cocktail.     Even though some of the songs don't seem to fit, and the interludes only annoy, songs like Supersonic, Cish Cash, Plug It In, Right Here's The Spot, and especially Good Luck (which is amazing) make this album a great one.

    Basement Jaxx go for the next level: awersome , danceable post punk electronica and romatic beats doing the background...

    Lacking the fun of Remedy and Rooty, this album sets out to disappoint longtime fans for better or worse. Although the songs in general are great, few songs are distinctive and many feel like filler. Very well-thought out filler.

    That being said, there's very much to love on Kish Kash - the powerful vocals in Good Luck, the sleek style of Right Here's The Spot, the wild experimentation on    Lacking the fun of Remedy and Rooty, this album sets out to disappoint longtime fans for better or worse. Although the songs in general are great, few songs are distinctive and many feel like filler. Very well-thought out filler.

    That being said, there's very much to love on Kish Kash - the powerful vocals in Good Luck, the sleek style of Right Here's The Spot, the wild experimentation on Lucky Star, the fun of Supersonic and the ultra-catchy tune Plug It In.
