This album continually bends and warps, jumps and starts, fully absorbing its antedecents and regurgitating a masterstroke of contemporary electronic music.

The album has its lows (a few songs drift too close to dorm-room-hookah music), but the highs vastly outnumber them. DJ Koze has created another fascinating album out of a world of sounds.

This album isn't ever one thing, the magnificent "bonfire" re-purposes a spell binding bon iver classic "Calgary " for a psychedelic lush trance. Or "colors of autumn " that fuses house with rap in a way The Avalanches succeeded to do on "Wildflowers " ,a lively summer ready beat carries bars about a fading relationship. They are more traditional house songs such as "pick up" which sketters and pulses with the late night humidity of a packed club. "Moving in Liquid " is more experimental as he leans on his more unconventional "amygdala " choices. Overall this record is worth listening let alone owning. Possibly a 9 Expand
