Phillipa ‘Pip’ Brown better known by her stage name Ladyhawke, is a solo singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, playing all the instruments in studio and touring with a band. Her musical style blends new wave, indie rock and electropop. Ladyhawke's debut album delivers brilliant tunes. There are well crafted. My Delirium and Paris is Burning are standout tracks but all record is really good. Expand

  1. We'll settle for saying it's a great record. Full stop.
  2. Ladyhawke's louche synthetic pop is brazenly Bananarama, ridiculously 'Rio', and wonderfully Waterman, but the lack of posing – her sheer scruffiness – makes it the first credible '80s pop record since ABC's 'The Lexicon Of Love'
  3. Ladyhawke is an accessible but immensely rewarding listen, and while some of this singer's influences may be middle of the road, her album isn't even on the road.
