    The Coathangers are clearly a band in transition, and it's very possible that this album's disjointed nature is a result of the band throwing everything against the wall and seeing what sticks.

    It doesn't flow as well as Scramble, but the Coathangers are masters of disguise, and Larceny's a straightforward punk album hiding darker feelings.

    Righteous dilettantes, the Coathangers' songs are simple and jarring-they're irreverent towards melody and their hooks jut at odd angles.
