With Bonobo's addition to Late Night Tales the series re-establishes itself as the premier down tempo music compilation. Music for music lovers, simply sublime.

Incredible. Bonobo offers us a crazy compilation 'Late Night Tales' characterized by symphonic instrumentals, beautiful moments of silence and astounding melodic movements. The very first leg is one of the most engaging, powerful and chill start for a compilation I have ever listened to. Bonobo offers us a crazy compilation 'Late Night Tales' characterized by symphonic instrumentals, beautiful moments of silence and astounding melodic movements. The very first leg is one of the most engaging, powerful and chill start for a compilation I have ever listened to. The mixing is immaculate: you have to listen to this playlist with the mixing on to fully realize how tracks answer to each other. The chain 'Get Thy Bearings' - 'Didn't I' - 'Baltimore' - 'Flipside' - 'The Traitor' - 'Flowers' testifies to a magnificence rarely equaled. Things become a bit less interesting after that but how could Bonobo maintain such an intense level of greatness? Maybe he could have done so if he had produced a shorter compilation. No doubt of it. 'Hedron' from Badbadnotgood is another unmissable highlight on the record. What a strike! I just can't stop listening to this track over and over. The end of the compilation comes back to more classical and soaring jazzy movements with tracks like 'Essence of Sapphire' or 'Peace Piece', two other awesome tracks that I discovered during this unexpected trip. Thank you Bononbo. Expand

A vastly resourceful and well-structured opus by a true master of horizontal stylings.
