The Rugged Man shines on this long awaited release. Fans of underground hip-hop have long been enthralled by his larger than life persona and take no attitude. Dude is a LYRICAL BEAST. High quality production features from Talib Kweli, Tech N9ne, Vinnie Paz, Brother Ali, & more prove that the Rugged Man is alive and well.

Wow, any fan of anything even close to hip hop needs to get this album. R.A. The Rugged Man delivers in so many aspects on Legends Never Die. Emotionally, lyrically, humorously and brutally, R.A. proves he is one of the true kings of the genre. Excellent and diverse production sets a great backdrop for R.A. and many great guests to murder their verses on. R.A. the Rugged Man has always released great work, and this album is no exception. He is able to capture so many different emotions on this record; I found myself tearing up during some songs, and bangin' my head to others. If this is a rebirth for R.A. The Rugged Man's career it is a promising one. The veteran creates a gripping persona through his rhymes, doing so with such technique that staying tuned is no great effort. With the exception of a few fillers, Legends Never Die is a truly compelling entry in the two-decade discography of R.A. the Rugged Man.

When producers like Mr. Green, Apathy, and Buckwild come up with fresh, funky ideas, R.A. responds with excellence, and sometimes a J-Zone-sized sense of humor.

Overall, it’s an album embedded with enough humor, knowledge, and obscure Hip Hop references that will force listeners to keep this one in rotation.
