The Radio Dept. recall that giddy moment before sounding like the Stones was considered revelatory. Only these Swedes re-tweak the formula, sounding, if anything, better than Ride, Slowdive, Lush, Boo Radleys et al. [Sep 2004, p.100]
  2. A miniature classic. [14 Aug 2004, p.49]
  3. It has the same majesty and ethereal wonder contained in the best works of the Flaming Lips, Boo Radleys, My Bloody Valentine, Jesus and Mary Chain and Mercury Rev.

A charming glide of warm fuzz-pop that suffers only through their influences being worn perhaps too clearly upon their sleeves. [Oct 2004, p.101]
  5. There's not much to tie it to the present day, but when the template is this well tuned that's no great problem. [Oct 2004, p.129]

The result. . . like the NME said, an utter classic record that will likely be, but should not be by any means, ignored. Expand

After two years of intense listening, I can finally say it: this is my all-time-favourite indie-pop album.

This is one of the greatest albums of all-time, seriously. Every song is so catchy, lovely and straight out that it's unbelivable to here it.

It has been one of my best music purchases in recent memory. I would define their music as dream pop. It has that ethereal sound. The vocals are distant, gentle and hushed at times. Expand
