One of my favorite albums of the last 10 years, maybe even more! This truly is a classic. Every song is expertly crafted and beutiful. True, some people may not appreiciate it, but its substantially better than anything else released in main stream music lately. Long live the Swedes!

I can't believe how gripping and subtely beautiful this record is. It's as if The Radio Dept. listened to every great song ever created, remembered what was needed to make those songs, threw out the template and just wrote straight up from the hearts with the emotions of the great songs always in the backs of their minds. The result. . . like the NME said, an utter classic I can't believe how gripping and subtely beautiful this record is. Very strong album overall, not a single filler track. Excellent pop sensibilities, 70s 80s retro shoegaze all in one.

This is one of the greatest albums of all-time, seriously. Every song is so catchy, lovely and straight out that it's unbelivable to here it.

After two years of intense listening, I can finally say it: this is my all-time-favourite indie-pop album.

This album is f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c. Theres nothing really out there right now that sounds like this, every song is catchy and never seems to get old. Hope they continue to make music just as great as this!

it sounds a bit like my bloody valentine crashed into belle and sebastian's stuart murdoch and they were all so confused that they just thought they'd make some real pretty music about it.

Very good album, but not as good at Pulling Our Weight EP and This Past Week EP

With no previous knowledge of Sweden's The Radio Dept, I bought their album Lesser Matters after sampling the first 3 songs at a listening station. It has been one of my best music purchases in recent memory. I would define their music as dream pop. It has that ethereal sound. The vocals are distant, gentle and hushed at times.

The Radio Dept. recall that giddy moment before sounding like the Stones was considered revelatory. Only these Swedes re-tweak the formula, sounding, if anything, better than Ride, Slowdive, Lush, Boo Radleys et al. [Sep 2004, p.100]

There's not much to tie it to the present day, but when the template is this well tuned that's no great problem. [Oct 2004, p.129]
  3. It has the same majesty and ethereal wonder contained in the best works of the Flaming Lips, Boo Radleys, My Bloody Valentine, Jesus and Mary Chain and Mercury Rev.
