Hugh Laurie is an excellent musician, and has great skill with the piano and the guitar, it makes him a complete musician. Apart managed to combine the best tracks of Blues with his voice and that's very unusual.

The efforts of Hugh Laurie as musician are charming so compelling as same playing piano, harmonica or guitar. Every blues song has some essence of TV series House MD, making remind the funniest and dramatic moments. Bravo.

Can't live without this album. Period.
Song no. 1 is especially dear to my heart.
Hugh Laurie is a god in the Olympus of musicians/singers. He plays piano incredibly well, I really admire his skills. The way he reveres his childhood hero, Professor Longhair, is commendable. He finally made his dream come true, and I'm very happy for him. Mr. Laurie has turned me into a lover of blues.

Mr. Laurie has turned me into a lover of blues. My favourite genre is jazz, but my skills aren't anywhere near his. He inspires me to do better. Thank you, Hugh.

This is no disaster on the level of, say, a Leonard Nimoy or Don Johnson album, but given Laurie's outspoken love for New Orleans and the involvement of Henry and his crew, Let Them Talk still falls well short of expectations.

No embarrassing side-project, Let Them Talk turns out to showcase heartfelt and sensitively handled musicianship from one of our finest all-round entertainers.

Laurie is best on standards such as St James Infirmary and Buddy Bolden's Blues, playing piano on them with strength and sensitivity. [Jun 2011, p.104]
