  1. Fans of Radiohead's more melancholic moments on Pablo Honey and Keane's chart singles should enjoy the bliss that is Let There Be Morning.
  2. As simple and dopey as Bright Eyes' I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning, only sleepier.
  3. Anyone with a love for substantive indie pop that sounds fresh with each listen would be erring by not picking up this affecting, gorgeous album.
  4. Coldplay comparisons are instantly apparent, but you get the feeling that these guys aren't going to end up with movie-star girlfriends.

    A lovely twilight trip. [15 Apr 2005, p.77]
  6. Too familiar, too gloomy and too bland.

Let There Be Morning may not cure your insomnia, but it should be a soothing antidote to that fourth double cappuccino of the day. [#67, p.96]
  8. Let There Be Morning may be all too familiar to some, but with its driving guitars, catchy choruses and infectious melodies, this solid effort ensures that the band is set to become a household name.
  9. Strung with just the right amounts of room-filling tearjerkers (lilting keys and strings), the record is likely to raise a lump in your throat, or at least make you feel fuzzy inside and go "awww" at its prettiness.

The Perishers fail to elevate their brand of minimalism beyond the politely unobtrusive and fatally unmemorable. [Apr/May 2005, p.149]
  11. It is not an offensive album by any means, on the contrary, much of it is very, very nice. This is stuff that mom will like, that you can play at work and nobody will notice.
  12. Let There Be Morning isn't designed to bowl you over with its size and scope; rather, it's a quietly compelling, lushly orchestrated affair that slowly but surely melts its way into your heart.
  13. The Perishers' second full-length album is, well, rather bland.

I think you have to sit quietly with some albums to hear the subtler moments, and then receive the richer rewards. Full Review »

I also saw them last night with Sarah McLachlan (Halifax show), and they were very good. My best friend bought the CD and had them sign it too.
