Whilst most of the songs on this album would not be on Blackstreet's greatest hits if the group were to create one tomorrow, it wouldn't be because most of the songs on this album are bad, it is just that the group has had so many great songs in the past. The group's 4th album, Level II, is a must for any music lover who enjoys an album that is a mix of slow, medium and fast paced songs, produced by a veteran and state-of-the-art producer (Teddy Riley) and sung with perhaps the best set of vocals/harmonies in the industry at the moment. Personally, I am sick of buying an album that contains the same style of music in each song. Blackstreet has never let me down in that respect. Level II also contains the types of songs which you are able to sing-a-long to and listen to over and over again (ie. Ooh Girl, Deep, How We Do, Bygones, Brown Eyes...). Check it out, you won't be disappointed. Expand

  1. A fine album, offering quality tunes, if not clever punches. [May 2003, p.100]

There are plenty of dull moments on Level II, but the memorable ones keep the proceedings interesting. [Apr 2003, p.177]
  3. 20
Sadly, the results are soul-less. [Apr 2003, p.99]
