This is just absolutely mesmerising. I don't know why, or how, but it just gets in to your brain like a narcotic and you have to go back for more. Definitely a Class A fix.

This is simply one of the best albums created. This is one of my all time top favorites. I can't wait for another Dntel release, because what I heard from the Aim Records 45 is going to eclipse this album in brilliance. Jimmy Tamborello, thank god for him.

Despite the optimistic title Life Is Full Of Possibilities is a fantastic but quiet and often somberly depressing album. A potent blend of mood setting acoustic guitar and almost ambient electronic compositions; the shortest description that can be accurately given would likely be "beautiful". Most listeners will find it ideal activities like sitting alone in the dark after your lover tells you they hate you, or as a melancholy musical road to sleep. Of particular note is the track (This Is) The Dream Of Evan and Chan, both for it being the most cheerful song on the album and for the vocals being sung by Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie. It was this collaboration that led Tamborello and Gibbard to form The Postal Service. Expand

  1. Pretty, brittle, subtle, full of surprises, and disarming in its ability to set moods, Life Is Full of Possibilities is a masterpiece that places Dntel near the top of the heap of electronic artists working in 2001.

    A sublime suite of semi-ambient glitch-pop. [Dec 2001, p.106]

At points, Life Is Full Of Possibilities certainly sounds as if Tamborello realizes what distinguishes the good from the great. [#53, p.72]
