    With all of that said and there was plenty said this album is not only highly recommended I would have to say for me at least it is one of the better efforts of 2011 and will more than likely end up on an end of the year round up.

    Kinsella's lyrical wit is still affecting, displayed in both song titles ("Howdy Pardoner") and his always honest, direct lyrics about relationships ("Let's cut each other's strings/Give me a hand if you understand").

    A lot of bad music is plenty catchy, though. To give Kinsella a pass just because Life Like is begrudgingly more melodic would be unfair to the hardworking musicians everywhere who dare to have a better attitude towards sex, music, and everything else than he can ever seem to manage.
