I tried to make an album that was good, but sadly I could only come up with this pile of crap. But hey, the kids will buy it as long as MTV plays it. I'm going to go sell my music to some advertisers... maybe I can support my drinking habits that way!

Puddle Of Mudd is a great band. Although i think their 1st album come clean was a little bit better, this one definitely isnt bad. each song has its own catchy tune that leaves you wanting more. Each track has tons of intesity in it. Definitely pick it up. My favorite track is Nothing Left To Lose.

As a Nirvana fan, I am a listener to grunge. What I cant see is why you would dare to compare these guys to Nirvana,Pixies etc. They dont come close. I hate posers and how they pretty much fucking rip off style. But then youve got to pity Puddle of Mudd as they may try to usetheir sound they still suck they couldnt play there way out of a paper bag, they cant even rip off that well. This horrible, formula-driven, generic rock. This cd doesen't rock and it is scary that this cd sells at all. Wes's grating whining Cobain rip-off style honestly hurts my ears

While this most certainly deserves a 0 artistically, I do applaud Puddle of Mudd for continuing to pull down major label schlock rock into the muck and allowing labels who foster artistic expression that goes beyond pathetic teen angst being mewled by a 30 year old to flourish. And thanks to metacritic for allowing me to write ridiculously long sentences.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought this album was great. Spin You Around is a suprisingly beautiful song I thought. The other songs are all solid too. From what I see though, I'm the only one who thinks this way.

Ah, Puddle of Mudd, - note the 2 D's... misspelling is RAWK! - you constantly play to the absolute lowest expectation. Somehow, you've been allowed to make not one, but TWO major label records. Even my girlfriend, who has from time to time enjoyed a Nickelback song noted amazement that off-key, no talent stuff like this was signed to a major record deal. Sad.

Life on Display is just what everyone who likes gret lyrics and that sound of ROCK needs! It's great album, if you don't like it when you first time listen to it, listen to it second time and don't be so negative about it! there must be atleast one song for everyone! For me there's 13 songs.

This album is AMAZING, I mean every single song. You can't even really say someone else's music sucks though. I mean, just because YOU don't fucking like it, doesnt mean it sucks. So if YOU don't like it, just know that others do-millions of others love this album, and it doesnt suck just because a couple of people like you all don't. And PLEASE people, stop fucking comparing them to Nirvana/Wes to Kurt Cobain. I am a HUGE fan of Nirvana, and Nirvana/Kurt live on thru their music, but you seriously need to stop comparing. Get the fuck over it, Puddle of Mudd rules no matter what the fuck you say. "Come clean" was the biggest (selling)fucking debut rock album EVER! I just could not understand how someone couldn't like these songs, though. Wes has a beautiful voice, and incredible range, and is a very very talented songwriter, and I loved every song...this album is a perfect 10. Expand

What a great way to celebrate Kurt's 10th anniversary suicide than throw in this Puddle of Dudd cd. After a few beers and a joint, nobody'd be able to tell the difference. A+ for originality all the way

The only thing on display here is the blandest, most pathetic excuse for "hard rock" since, well, their first album. Or maybe Creed.

You guys are stupid if you dont like this CD. It is the best music ever to come from anywhere. As for Kury Cobain, hes dead and he died a long time ago. Its time to move on. This CD rocks and it rocks hard!

Though not exactly what I expected from the band, this is hardly what one could call a sophomore slump. Songs like 'Away From Me' blow any of Nickelback's new stuff clean out of the water. Best selling rock debut of all time? Ever heard of Pearl Jam's Ten? (12 million) And besides, what difference do sales make?

In the early 2000's there was a huge craze involving ever band trying to emulate the sound and style of Nirvana. The very offender to come from this is Puddle Of Mudd. This album in particular is the very worst this band had to offer. This could e the worst I have ever heard or at least in the running for the worst. I have never listened to something that gives me a negative physical reaction until I listened this. After sitting through the entire thing I want the sound of POM away from me as much as possible. The sound generic riffs and melodies hits you head over heals. It's like the studio felt the had nothing left left to lose so they allowed this abomination reach the general public. This music will spin you around and smack you the sound of pure mediocre nonsense. My mind was already gone three minutes after pressing play. I can't think of a worse listening experience I have had. This is the very bottom of what the human race can achieve musically and should be seen as a freak of the world. Let it be known from San Francisco to Sydney how terrible it is. I wish I could say time flies while listening to this, but alas I can't. I should get a medal for being ale to listen to the whole thing and still have the sanity to write a review about it. Expand
