    The overall impression one gleans from the songs on Like Comedy has less to do with sticky pop music and more to do with the Reid twins making an earnest bid for that great songbook in the sky, right alongside Tin Pan Alley and tone poems that depict the old countries of yore.

    This release finds The Proclaimers at their very best. Like Comedy is a release filled with poignant lyrics and melodies that will draw you in from the very first listen. A classic in the genre. Collapse
