Amid all the dirty, clanging glam, there are unfinished moments. [Apr 2007, p.119]
  2. Fans of the Mary Chain's Suicide-meets-Shangri-Las hijinks will have an immediate connection to Sister Vanilla's sweetly sinister sound, particularly when Jim or William steps up to the microphone to add his droning vocals.
  3. The aesthetic may be anachronistic, but it's still compelling.
