  1. Shudder to Think's zest in their return is palpable, this live recording both a fan essential and a good starting point.
  2. They sound more inspired here than they have since... well, since they played these songs the first time. New album please.
  3. Some of these falsetto-singing, oblique chord-conflating upstarts and their fans should check out Live from Home in order to hear that some of their most seemingly current trends and fresh ideas have a very direct source amongst American guitar rock bands. Shudder to Think did it first and still does it better.
  4. Wedren is game, and the hooks are there, but it’s been proven many times that a person can never truly go home again. It’s how far away Live From Home ends up that provides its greatest interest.
  5. This is basically a best-of record played by guys who were obviously still excited about stuff that goes back as far as 1990, and while it ultimately doesn’t seem essential for anyone other than hardcore fans, it’s always great to hear Nathan Larson getting glammy on songs.
