GuyHJan 21, 20081Luckiest man in pop. Rubbish drummer, rubbish song writer, rubbish actor, ugly mug, tragic sense of humour, over inflated opinion of himself... and he still has a career in the entertainment industry. Fair play.

ÍtaloD.Feb 7, 200810Ringo at his best. This album is also so good or better than Time Takes Time, Ringo Rama and Ringo, is much better than Vertical Man and others 70' and 80' Ringo's albums. Now I think both Liverpool 8 and Choose Love are the TOP Ringo Starr albums.

FrankJan 17, 20089A very pleasant listen. It's great to hear songs that are positive: You'll have a smile on your face when you are done.

JohnS.Jan 21, 200810Ringo has made an excellent album with Eurythmics Dave Stewart. Love the songs, the production and the pure joy of the whole project.

BrandonS.Jan 25, 20087Dave Stewart lives out his Beatles fantasy - and good for him! The new single, which Stewart wrote, along with Ringo's lyrics, is a perfect pop song: catchy, full of hooks, and FUN, something pop music has been missing for a long time.

Liverpool 8 is a relaxed, amiable collection of friendly pop tunes: it's nothing too flashy and it has no one tune that calls attention to itself, but it's a well-constructed, casually charming pop record.
-
70While his talent as a lyricist may leave something to be desired, you can't fault the guy for his dedication to putting a smile on the listener's face.
-
60The need for peace and love animates Ringo's worldly concerns - four of the disc's dozen tracks mention "love" in the title - but they come across as little more than catchphrases aimed at the flower-power generation.
