  • Summary: The Montreal, Canada-based quartet (basically, 2003's version of Interpol) follows its acclaimed, 80s-influenced EP "Rememberese" with this debut full-length. "Still In Love Song" is the only song from that EP to reappear here.

A similar osmosis of Bunneymen and Chameleons' dramarama as Interpol. [Mar 2004, p.106]
  4. The Stills' excellent debut album, Logic Will Break Your Heart, is a stunner, a rush of shoegazer guitars and suave lover-boy angst.

A beautiful record. It's the album that I hoped Interpol would make, but I guess The Stills beat them to it.

After listening to this album at least a dozen times, I still can't get enough. I'd love to see them in concert in a small venue.

I've heard a lot of comparison between the Stills and Interpol and to be quite frank, I never made that connection. "Logic Will Break I've heard a lot of comparison between the Stills and Interpol and to be quite frank, I never made that connection. "Logic Will Break Your Heart" is a decent enough album. It has some good songs, "Animals and Insects" is quite lovely. But all too often "Logic" just melts together with songs that sound exactly the same, particularly in the middle third of the album. Where Interpol benefit from over-production, The Stills seem to long for the lo-fi production that The Strokes enjoy. Interpol also have a certain... finesse, that the Stills do not posses. Expand
