Another warm, gentle album, one that should attract Norah Jones fans and Trisha Yearwood fans alike. [9 Oct 2006]
  3. Long Island Shores is a much less immediate experience than its predecessor. But persevere and forgive Smith her refusal to fall neatly into a single comfortable musical pigeonhole, and her second album soon becomes something almost as enduring and valuable as her first.

It includes beautifully uplifting melodies and gentle ballads. Her voice is soothing and yet tinged with a little regret and angst just when and where it needs to be. The tracks are beautifully written and crafted and the whole album is a lovely musical journey which you won’t forget once you’ve allowed the songs to wash over you. Highly recommended. Expand
