    Although Lost and Safe would be a crowning achievement for any band, The Books show no sign of running out of beautiful musical ideas to convey.

    It's hard for me to comment on the relative merits of the different Books recordings -- I love them all for different reasons. What amazes me is how much I groove on Lost and Safe despite the un-surprise of it. This is not a novelty album, or one of passing interest, but a recording to listen to over a number of years (or so I think after a few weeks). Expand
