    When Underoath hits it they hit it well, and Lost in the Sound of Separation is still a very good record despite its faults.

    It doesn't take long for Separation to rescue itself from painfully serious, aggro-MTV mediocrity, as those two tracks are quickly followed up by the riveting 'A Fault Line, A Fault of Mine' and 'Emergency Broadcast: The End Is Near.'

    I can sympathize with those of you who don't like this genre of music. I really can. 3 years ago I would have laughed if someone let me listen to this album. But what you need to understand is that for this genre of music (metalcore/post hardcore) this album trully is remarkable, even though it is far from accesible. Hands down a 10 as far as I'm concerned.… Expand

    Haven't heard the album but i know i don't like this band. That aside i just wanted to point out that the average of these ratings is 85 NOT 92! For some reason Metacritic regards the opinions of certain publications more favorably than others. Why? This is stupid and just reveals a gaping flaw in the Metacritic system which is that the overall scores are not accurate!… Expand
