Such a legendary and career defining album. This album has gone on to become Rihanna's most notable LP and has spawned singles such as S&M, What's My Name and hugely successful Only Girl (In the World).

Glad this album is kinda short, cause there's nothing interesting as the singles, which represent some of Rihanna's best times, since the rest of this songs sound too repetitive and boring.
Top Track: Only Girl (In The World)
    Worst Track: Complicated

Rihanna's best album, and one of my favorite albums ever. Every song is amazing, and she made up for her 4th album, "Rated R". The best song is "S&M."

A very sex-focused album that manages to be sensual more often than dirty, other than opening track "S&M", which was so good and raunchy that Britney Spears couldn't resist hopping on the remix. "Only Girl" and "What's My Name?" are the standouts, and although none of the other tracks reach those highs, they do maintain a sultry kind of momentum across the record.

I think "Loud" might be one of the best Rihanna's album. This album is explosive and full of bops. It's a happy and sensual album.

Rihanna thrills her best quality, but it's not enough to be what you can expect. Although, there are songs that are totally already worth better cohesion and sound, it has its escapades around production. It lacks its burning, which we saw on the last album. But the quality is not lacking, and one can say that a little more salt the album would be impeccable as the predecessors.

Rihanna's fifth studio album 'Loud' is probably the best, lyrically generic record of all time. Although none of the songs have a personal touch or deeper value than their simple, basic lyrics, the production and vocals are enough to make this album one iconic record. Definitely one of Rihanna's better projects and her most vocally pleasant. The catchy pop tracks work so well with the vocally challenging ballads we are also given. The record is also short enough that you do not really care that she doesn't provide anything special in terms of lyrical content.

I was disappointment not because it's a bad album - it's actually really very good - but because it didn't even begin to compare to Rated R. Rated R was bold, dark and exciting whereas Loud can more easily be put in the RNB bucket bin.

I decided to listen to this album because of its single, and while I was listening to it, I realized that that's all this album has, the singles. This is another almost flawless album from Rihanna, while Rated R slipped back a bit 'Loud' is up there with 'Good Girl Gone Bad' as her strongest work. With a fantastic lead single with several more that followed also.

Rihanna's Loud is probably a combination of her albums. The Caribbean music is present in some songs. The dance-hall/club music is the main element of each songs. R&B music is present in her ballads. Lastly, Love the Way You Lie (Part II) is a 'Rated R' song. I conclude that Rihanna combine all her album into one to produce an artistic and commercial success CD.

The album is ok, but she could have done much better - especially after "Good Girl Gone Bad" and "Rated R". Some of the tracks are good, but there is no evolution whatsoever.

While each track on Loud is an audio Polaroid of past work, there's little evolution. It's evident Rihanna is working her way to the top, but she's been doing that for three albums now.

The record's best moments aim low rather than loud, with spacious, skittery beats that let loose Rihanna's Caribbean cadence.
