  • Summary: The third album for the country duo of Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush.
Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 8 out of 9
  2. Negative: 0 out of 9
  1. This is adult contemporary music that's enough fun for the kids and true-blue country without any trace of flag-waving or bigotry.
  2. Sugarland's third album, finely crafted with producer Byron Gallimore, is proof positive that singer/songwriters Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush are on the cusp of superstardom.
  3. While this set is saturated with hunger and ambition, it's also confident and sophisticated--the album sounds as if they meant every word but had a great time making it.
  4. What gives the duo character and what salvages the album, then, are frontwoman Jennifer Nettles's performances and a handful of cuts that rise above the middlebrow songwriting and production.

  1. This is by far SugarLand's most disappointing album to date. Twice the Speed Of Life was a great place to start, and Enjoy the Ride was an even better follow up, but this album is a step backwards. Most of the songs on here are a pathetic attempt to fuse country and pop music until fans of both genres can be satisfied. The record isn't all bad though. Some of the highlights include All I Want To Do, Genevieve, What I'd Give, and Already Gone. Collapse
