Lust Lust Lust, the fuzzed-out, starry-eyed return-to-form by The Raveonettes, takes you there and then kicks you out at sunrise. [Winter 2008, p.94]
  2. These songs don't sound like love songs because they aren't love songs. That the Raveonettes understand why that's an important distinction makes Lust Lust Lust a sleazy pop masterpiece.
  3. Pitting garage-rock tactics against Motown strategy, Lust Lust Lust is my kinda vice.

The Raveonettes are suddenly noisier than old-school Sonic Youth and every bit as menacing as the Velevt Underground circa '68. [Mar 2008, p.145]
  5. Definitely worth a listen, even if you thought you had the group pegged in the past.

The main drawback of Lust Lust Lust is that it might be a little too lo-fi and fuzzy. [Winter 2008, p.84]
  7. It's a narrow frame of reference that The Raveonettes seem likely to stick with; hopefully, on future albums, the songs will get more memorable than this batch.

Returning to their all-too-familiar noise-pop sound, The Raveonettes have gone Darklands on us and stripped the record down to guitar and Returning to their all-too-familiar noise-pop sound, The Raveonettes have gone Darklands on us and stripped the record down to guitar and sythesized everything else. The album delivers on lovely pop tracks that sound like love songs, but in most cases are deceiving by the singers' gentle voices. In my opinion, their greatest effort yet. Expand

Perhaps too early to say for certain but after a month with it I'd call this their best album. It is certainly their most accomplished.
