NicoleR.May 18, 20029This CD is a harder, whinier said of Weezer. With that said, its a great album. Rock on weezer.

GaryJun 16, 200210Maladroit combines the creative edginess of Pinkerton, with the heavy guitar riffs of the green album to make a truly enjoyable sound. Hard to compare to the blue album, but it certainly ranks as classic Weezer.

MatthewSSep 7, 20049I was a little skeptic after i was led slightly astray from weezer after being partially disappointed by The Green Album.... but frankly this one just rocks! makes me enjoy music twicefold, i hope i don't sound like a fanboy

jonoJan 31, 20069It's my 2nd favorite full length of theirs. Best musical composition and dynamics. Great to listen to on "repeat all." No bad songs, every thing sounds unique, while flowing smoothly. My only complaint is that it wasn't retro-analog.

AndrewJan 16, 200410This is a great albom from a great band. This is Weezer truly rocking it out better than anyone else is right now.

natebDec 6, 200510Enjoy the kick ass guitar licks, and all around different sound for the Weez.

TimmyLMay 15, 200210This is the album that weezer fans have been waiting for since Pinkerton. Fortunately, Rivers did not try to remake Pinkerton, he just let his emotions out like he did with Pinkerton. Can't wait for the next weez album due out next february.

BrandonR.May 1, 20052Incredibly boring, formulaic, and uninspired; inevitably, it has a few bright moments, but given the blue album and Pinkerton, why in the world would you settle for this??

matSep 27, 20067A Bad Weezer Album. But it still rocks.

[Anonymous]May 14, 20026More consistently good than the green album, but without the highs. not nearly as great as either of the first two albums.

-
KyleMay 15, 20028Best album since their classic Blue back in 1994. More meaningful, nice to see some more melancholy and self-deprecation.

-
chrisMay 18, 20027Memorable pop tunes with great dynamics. Seemed sort of rushed at times.. but an "above average" outing for Rivers and his band.

HatR.May 26, 20029Weezer's green album was OK but Maladroit is way better!

TaylorG.May 27, 20028Better than Green, close to Pinkerton, far from Blue, Maladroit is not Weezer's strongest CD, but it's nonetheless a great collection of tunes. For the Weezer fan (especially fans of Pinkerton), Maladroit is a great buy.

LukeM.May 27, 20027Full of riffs, and much more creative than the Green Album, where nearly every solo mirrored the vocal melody. But the hooks don't stick with you once the music's off, and Maladroit offers few high points. Instead, it's possibly the most consistent Weezer album, with a couple great tunes (Dope Nose, Slave) and a bunch that rock hard but don't leave a lasting impact.

RyanT.Jul 26, 20027The songs rock hard but some of the songs are too similar and forgetable. Has a couple great songs Dope Nose, and Keep Fishin. And the rest are just kind of ordinary hard rock songs.

Sep 7, 20108Another enjoyable Weezer album... Not as good as The Blue Album or Pinkerton but Maladroit is certainly a nice listen. Songs like "Dope Nose" and "Keep Fishin" are amazing live and all the tunes are fun.
-
Oct 2, 20109After leaving the fans for five years without an album the released two in quick succession, there is no argument as to which one was better out of the two Weezers Best album, Punchy, sharp, and heavy in all of the right places.
-
Aug 15, 20114Probably one of my least favorite Weezer albums. I really wanted to like this album. They're a constant disappointment.

80Amid all the bitching and moaning are some of the finest songs of Weezer's career. [May 2002, p.118]
-
Maladroit combines the best parts of the three previous Weezer albums: creamy guitar riffs, addictive beats, staple "hoo hoo's" and the brilliant mystique of Cuomos lyrics.
-
70Be forewarned: There's not much along the lines of "Island in the Sun" here.... Still, there are plenty of smart hooks and catchy vocals throughout.
