Jason Molina's introspective folk-country rock sound gets raw and reaches superb moments like on the first track of the album, which offers a splendid change of rhythms with a beautiful distorted rock guitar passage.

  1. Performed with a full backing band, which includes guitarist Dan Sullivan from Nad Navillus, Songs: Ohia stretches out on Fantasma, allowing Molina's songs to breathe but never sounding gratuitous, like a slightly subdued Crazy Horse.
