    Shows off Pierce's prowess tastefully. Practices good songwriting. Heavy layering (which acts as a pro and contributes to a unique yet familiarly ambient atmosphere I felt the acoustic guitar was too centered around, and clashed with the said atmosphere. Favorite tracks: "Double Dolphins on the Nickel" and "Circle None".

    Mice Parade still finds Pierce working in a distinctive space, less jazzy than fellow post-rock vets the Sea & Cake but more atmospherically nuanced than typical acoustic singer/songwriters, but it's hardly the most appropriate release to bear the Mice Parade name.
