As a mature statement by someone who's done it all, but still retains a desire to create something new and fresh, Mighty Rearranger is a record of considerable depth, admirable adventure and surprising passion. [May 2005, p.110]
  2. An unequivocally remarkable new album.

Arguably Plant's most Zeppelinesque solo work to date. [May 2005, p.92]
  4. The strangest sensation? It's actually all pretty good.
  5. More than any time since 1994's No Quarter with Jimmy Page, Plant's inner black dog is howling again.
  6. "Mighty Rearranger" isn't great, but it's awfully good, and if Plant's voice has faded slightly in power over the years, it's still remarkably strong.

Though Strange Sensation guitarist Liam "Skin" Tyson is no Jimmy Page, Plant can still strut with the vigour of a man half his age. [May 2005, p.114]

But does Robert put out any bad albums?! They range from very good to great. Led who!? No, but seriously his newish band is outstanding. Can only play the Zep catalogue so many times! His solo work is brilliant and this album in particular is a standout for me. Robert Plant consistently delivers quality, thoughtful, moving music. His life's journey, his intellectualising of it and musical experience contribute to ever more interesting songs. Really thankful for his music contributions and all of it has a place in my music library. Expand

Dude is old, and this sounds like a rehash of "attempting to attain past glory" without the zip. Where is the wheelchair?
