Mirror Mirror is a raw, nocturnal and very northern record, and one that's nailed its bleeding, hedonistic colours high up the musical mast.

The resulting record is one that softens with repeated listens, even if it's so full of bad juju you may initially feel compelled to burn it at the stake. [Jul 29011, p.112]

Mirror Mirror isn't the kind of record that will bowl you over right away, but as you listen, the barely contained drama and violence of the performances, the bloody hooks each song contains, and the inspired craft of the arrangements will draw you in and knock you out.

  6. Damned if they do and damned if they don't, it seems, but never sounding damned enough.

Reminders of the past are pleasant, but at the end of the day, you'll be choosing Power, Corruption & Lies or Songs of Faith and Distortion over Sons & Daughters' Mirror, Mirror.
