Morbid Stuff is a worthy follow up to The Dream Is Over in all the right ways--giving fans everything they asked for with some amusing curveballs. It’s a complete thrill from front to back that manages to retain the band’s whacky nature while making some inspiring progressions forward. You can't get much closer to a modern punk classic than this.

At the heart of it, Morbid Stuff just still sounds like friends having fun and making catchy, cathartic punk anthems for teens and almost-adults alike--offering a brief, but much needed respite from the hell that is everyday life.

Morbid Stuff is punk rock at its best. PUP has delivered something that achieves the rare feat of satisfying older fans while also leveling them up career-wise.

If The Dream Is Over put PUP on the map, Morbid Stuff might just see them conquer it.

Morbid Thoughts is an inspired, catchy punk album, full of punchy, soon-to-be anthems that will please old fans and hook newer ones. However, it is also something else. A brave acknowledgment that life isn't easy and sometimes the worst enemy is that inner voice, hell-bent on beating you down at every turn.

They may be using Morbid Stuff to face their demons head on, but there’s a sense of reckless abandon to the whole thing that makes it entirely freeing.

Morbid Stuff is 37 minutes inside a sweaty venue process your worst feelings when a half-assed meltdown just won’t cut it.

Ever since they came out with The Dream Is Over, I felt that PUP had the potential to put out something really great. On Morbid Stuff, they definitely live up to that potential. From the energetic riff on "Kids" to the catchy chorus on "Sibling Rivalry," this album is full of polished, well written songs. PUP has definitely grown as a band, as can be noted by the song structure of "Scorpion Hill," which I thoroughly enjoy. In addition, Stefan Babcock's vocals are really on point and add that extra bit of authenticity to each track.

I see this as PUP's best album as of yet, and with each listen I find more and more to like about it. Definitely will end up being one of my favorite albums of the year. If you are a fan of the genre, Morbid Stuff is an essential listen. Looking forward to what they put out next!
