    Rob Thomas has a great and unique voice, unlike many other bands.

    Matchbox Twenty goes above and beyond anything you will hear in this so-called "popular music" genre. And I listen to everything from ambient Sigur Ros to tech metal Between the Buried and Me. I think it's very impressive when a band can run six string sweeps over a series of diminished7 chords. I think it's even more impressive when a band can make a person relate to their music in such a way that he or she will search the music for answers. This is album, and band, are deeply, deeply touching. As for the mediocrity comments, I think most of us can agree there is nothing, and I mean nothing, mediocre about their style. I've been listening to them my whole life. Never before, never since, have I heard such moving pieces of musical mastery.… Expand
