    Where Sky Larkin were once winsome and breezy, Motto pounds ahead with heart-punching defiance and desperation to be heard. Listen up.

    They may have deserved the montages to move along their story, but this time round there's no denying it. Wake up, world--eight years in, Sky Larkin are demanding your attention. Deny them at your own risk.

    While still plenty noisy and messy-headed, Sky Larkin sound their most organized on Motto, and the deeper focus they apply to their energetic sounds is what makes the end results work better than any of their previous albums.
